Terms of Service
1. The Service
Urimal (the "Service") is a game in which you guess one Korean word a day by semantic similarity. It is free and you can start without signing in.
2. Accounts
An anonymous account is created for you when you open the app. Connecting an Apple or Google account lets your progress follow you to a new device. If you delete the app or sign out without having connected an account, your progress cannot be recovered.
3. Nicknames and reporting
Your nickname is visible to other players. Nicknames that are abusive, discriminatory, impersonating, or advertising may be changed or restricted without notice. Any player can report or block another player's nickname.
4. Blueberries
Blueberries are points usable only inside the Service. They have no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged for money. If we ever introduce items you can buy, we will set out separate terms before any payment.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Extracting answers by automated means, or sending excessive requests to the Service
- Systematically spreading the answer in a way that spoils the game for others
- Exploiting a vulnerability to gain records or points unfairly
We may delete records, exclude players from rankings, or restrict access in response to a violation.
6. Intellectual property
The design, code, and copy of the Service belong to the operator. Word similarity is computed from fastText Korean vectors, distributed under CC BY-SA 3.0; credits are listed under "Open source and credits" in the app.
7. Changes and discontinuation
The operator may change the Service, or discontinue it if unavoidable. We will give at least 30 days' notice inside the app before discontinuing it.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". The operator is not liable for indirect damages arising from your use of the Service, absent intent or gross negligence.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
