Privacy Policy
Urimal (the "Service") takes your privacy seriously and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable law. This policy explains what we collect and why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.
1. What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous user identifier (Firebase Authentication UID) | Created automatically the first time you open the app | Saving your progress, showing you on the ranking |
| Nickname | When you type one | Shown on the ranking. If you skip it, you get a random name such as "블루베리1234" |
| Gameplay record (words you typed, similarity scores, number of tries, whether you solved it, streaks, blueberry balance, dates you claimed check-in rewards) | While you play | Running the game, computing rankings and rewards |
| Apple or Google account identifier (the minimum the provider passes us, such as an email address) | Only when you connect an account | Verifying it's you, so your progress follows you to a new device |
| Push notification token | Only when you turn notifications on in Settings | Sending the daily evening reminder |
| Reports (identifiers of the reporter and the reported player, and the reason) | When you report another player | Moderating inappropriate nicknames |
Words typed by other players are never shown to anyone. The ranking shows only nicknames, places, and similarity scores.
The Service does not collect location data itself.
2. Advertising
The Service shows rewarded ads from Google AdMob. An ad plays only when you tap "Watch an ad" yourself. There are no banner or interstitial ads.
To serve and measure those ads, AdMob collects your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), an approximate location inferred from your IP address, and a record of the ads you saw and tapped. We do not store any of it; Google LLC processes it for its own purposes. See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data disclosure for details.
On iOS you are asked for tracking permission the first time you open the app. If you decline, we request non-personalized ads only, and the game works exactly the same. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
3. How long we keep it
We keep what we collect until you delete your account. Deleting your account immediately erases your nickname, gameplay record, ranking entries, and connected-account information, and it cannot be undone. Reports are kept for up to 90 days after deletion in case of a dispute, then destroyed.
4. Processors
The Service uses Google LLC's Firebase for data storage, authentication, and notifications. Data is stored in the Google Cloud Seoul region (asia-northeast3). See Firebase Privacy and Security for how Google handles it.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We do not disclose personal information to third parties except where required by law.
6. Your rights
- Change your nickname: anytime, on the You screen in the app.
- Turn off notifications: switching them off in Settings revokes the token immediately.
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete account, in the app. If you have already removed the app, follow the account deletion guide.
- Access and correction: write to the address below and we will act without delay.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we announce it on this page and inside the app seven days before it takes effect.
